What To Expect

Fees and Costs

Claudia's services are tailored to be efficient and value oriented while providing the highest quality of individualized service.  The goal of the firm is to make legal services accessible for every family, individual and business.  We collaborate with you to creatively and effectively meet your needs and your budget concerns.

Most estate planning and trust services are billed on a fixed fee basis as determined by the attorney and the client at the commencement of the engagement.  A service retainer of half the fee is required to be deposited in the firm trust account before services can begin.  The remainder is due upon billing at the conclusion of service.  Basic estate planning documents include a will, general durable power of attorney, power of attorney for health care, and health care directive.  These services can be provided in bundled or unbundled form.  Typical fees for preparation of basic estate planning bundle range between $800-$1000 depending on factors such as marriage, minor children, and location of real property.  The addition of special planning devices such as special needs trust, marital trusts, or QTIP trust may result in additional fees.  Individual documents or review of previously drafted documents are available as well.

All probate, business, real estate and commercial services are billed on an hourly basis with additional costs for filing fees, mailing and copying billed directly to the client.  A service retainer deposit of an amount determined by the attorney and client will be required before services can begin.  It is recommended that you email or call Claudia to discuss your needs and determine a budget estimate for your work.

Additional costs may include filing fees, recording fees, state fees and taxes.  All costs are in addition to legal fees.

Payment schedules and special arrangements are available under certain circumstances upon request.
